Nice work from the guys at Marketing Week.
Worth a look if you are in marketing… and isn’t everyone?
Hello there. Yes, you read that right… Semantic’s on a jolly!
After a very productive few months work Semantic is kicking back and smelling the roses. From lunchtime Thursday we are all out of the office until Friday PM.
First we’re off to see the New London Dungeon - I hear that they have an amazing new website. Then we’re meeting with Stephen from the Semantic’s “London Office” for a meal. Then we are off to see One Man, Two Guvners (www.onemantwoguvnors.com), which looks like a right laugh.
We’re staying overnight in town and will enjoy a lazy breakfast before dribbling back to the office around lunchtime on Friday.
I write this not to make anyone jealous, just to emphasise the obvious point that no team can work at 100% all the time AND produce great work. Everyone at Semantic has worked very hard over the past few months, and this is a small treat for us all. If you have updates to your sites it would be lovely if you could leave them until Monday ;-)
In an Emergency…
Of course unplanned things can happen. All of us at Semantic are Digital Road Ninjas, so we’ll have phones, laptops, internet connections, smoke signals, secret handshakes and Kendal Mint Cake in case of genuine emergencies.
We’re still Semantic, we’re still here to help.
thanks for understanding,
Nick
One Direction ‘tour’ Madame Tussauds!
Check out our latest work… a site to promote the One Direction ‘tour’ of Madame Tussauds in London, New York and Sydney.
Visit OneDirection.MadameTussauds.com.
It’s less of a web site, more of a Semantic Web Snack… but it’s simple, responsive and very very shareable. Our 570 users are learning about the ‘tour’ as I type this.
As a mould-breaking ‘boy’ band ourselves we salute One Direction, and give props to MT Global for choosing Semantic.
It’s been a lot of fun…
Hey there friends.
A couple of days ago launched new sites for all 10 of the LEGOLAND Discovery Centres.
LDCs are in the UK, US, Canada, Germany and Tokyo… and all now have a shiny new livery and a responsive design.
Here’s an example from Manchester LDC.

We’re all proud of this work, but it was Mike that did the heavy lifting. Well done Mike.
Some early reviews from the people that matter:

Thanks guys, keep them coming.
Semantic are back with their 5th Christmas single. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry… mostly you’ll just wonder why. Merry Christmas to all our friends, and anyone who agrees that in business (like life) should be fun, creative and a little bit silly.
If this video makes you smile please consider making a small donation to Starlight, Semantic’s charity for Christmas 2012.
About Semantic
Semantic is a small but awesome web design studio. We make beautiful web sites, online applications and business/ticketing systems - but we do it all with a smile and no small amount of personality.
The 2012 Christmas song was written by Mike Gillett. The video stars all of us, and was edited inexpertly by Nick Warren.
Find us at WWW.SEMANTIC.CO.UK, or better still call us for a chat (02380 111 542). We are friendly, and happy to help.
